Library
The library develops both its own collections and the provision of a wide range of services to users based on the application of modern information and computer technologies.
THE LIBRARY TODAY
- Book collection – about 500,000 copies of books on medicine and related sciences in the state, Russian, and English languages.
- Providing information resources to all categories of readers: students, trainees, interns, master's and doctoral students, residents, faculty members, and university staff.
- Access to international databases of the world’s largest publishers, such as Elsevier, EBSCO, Wiley, etc., as well as access to domestic electronic platforms.
- A reading room with open access to the library's book collections.
- Developing the collection in accordance with the university's curricula.
- Organizing and maintaining the reference and bibliographic system in the automated library and information system "IRBIS64+" and self-generated databases based on the SK-Electronic Library program.
LIST OF SERVICES
- Registration in the library for all categories of students, faculty, and university staff
- Providing information through the system of catalogs and card files, as well as other forms of library services
- Providing documents from the library collection for temporary use
- Providing 24/7 remote access to electronic resources subscribed by the university (after authorization within the university's IP range or upon request)
- Providing consultation assistance in searching and selecting publications
- Providing remote access to the Reader's Personal Account through SK-Electronic Library
- Electronic document ordering (request for digitizing up to 10% of a publication)
- Remote extension of the loan period for borrowed literature
- Indexing documents according to classification systems UDC / LBC / MRNTI
- Conducting training sessions on the basics of working with electronic resources
- Compiling bibliographic lists of literature
- Checking bibliographic lists for scientific work in accordance with standards
- Performing bibliographic queries
- Providing information from publishers and bookselling organizations for ordering educational and scientific literature, and subscribing to periodicals
- Consulting faculty on book availability for disciplines
- Organizing virtual book exhibitions
