Student Support Team
The Student Support Team is a student self-government body that assists students in adapting to the educational process at the university, addressing health care issues, protecting rights, organizing leisure activities, providing access to useful information, and implementing sustainable development initiatives.
Goals:
- The main goal of the Student Support Team is to improve the quality of the educational process and support student initiatives in academic and educational activities at the university.
- Participating in the implementation of current policies on equality, diversity, and inclusivity. Improving the prevention of unlawful actions among the student youth of the university;
- Participating in the organization and enhancement of the educational process at the university, fostering an ethical culture, creativity, and mutual assistance within student communities (dormitories);
- Establishing connections with other youth organizations in the city, region, and country.
Functions:
- Organizing quality, accessible, and effective assistance to university students in solving problems that arise during the learning process.
- Providing comprehensive legal and other necessary support to students in cases of violations of their rights, legal interests, and freedoms in accordance with generally accepted principles and norms of international law in the field of human rights.
- Participating in the socio-legal protection of university students.

The university provides a dedicated space where students can receive psychological and educational support, professional assistance, and guidance during the period of study.
We offer:
- psychological support programs for developing personal and professional skills;
- preventive activities aimed at maintaining psychological well-being;
- adaptation training sessions for first-year students;
- psychological support in the form of diagnostics and surveys;
- psychological support through group consultations.
Our goal is to provide students with psychological support during the period of study, help them successfully adapt to the educational process, unlock their potential, and build confidence in their future professional journey.

Work of the Counseling Service
During sessions with psychologists collaborating with the service, students can explore concerns or issues causing anxiety or stress in a safe, welcoming, and unbiased context.
What issues can be addressed with the Counseling Service?
- Issues related to university life (e.g., learning methods, organizational planning aspects, stress related to exam sessions);
- Personal difficulties (e.g., related to relocation, adapting to a new environment and lifestyle);
- Relational struggles (e.g., difficulties in friendships, family, emotional aspects);
- Stressful events impacting mental health (loss, grief).

The Career Center for Graduates supports and promotes the mission of facilitating effective employment for graduates and their adaptation to the current labor market requirements.

SUPPORT FOR EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY: 
Student Self-Governance
Student Self-Governance of NPJSC «KMU» is:
- A form of initiative, independent public activity of students aimed at developing social activity and supporting social initiatives of the student youth;
- A form of student democracy with corresponding rights, opportunities, and responsibilities, oriented towards achieving strategic goals and objectives, enhancing the prestige and image of the university in society;
- A means (resource) of social and legal protection of students.
Principles of Student Self-Governance:
- Scientific, systematic, continuous, and consistent;
- Respect for the rights and freedoms of student youth, democracy in addressing youth issues;
- Effectiveness in solving issues related to student youth;
- Comprehensive coverage of all student youth regardless of gender, nationality, social status, and age.
Student Ombudsman 
The Student Ombudsman is an authorized representative for student rights, which can be any student of the university.
The Student Ombudsman addresses the following tasks: accepts and considers student appeals; monitors compliance with the social rights and interests of students; resolves conflict situations; takes action within their competence based on student appeals and provides recommendations for restoring violated rights; collaborates with youth and student organizations.

The Student Support Service is an organ of student self-governance aimed at assisting students in adapting to the educational process at the university, addressing health protection issues, safeguarding rights, organizing leisure activities, providing access to useful information, and implementing sustainable development directions.
One of the goals of the Student Support Service is to participate in the ongoing policy of equality, diversity, and inclusivity, to improve the prevention of illegal actions among the university's student youth; to participate in organizing and improving the educational process at the university, in forming an ethical culture, a creative environment, and mutual assistance in student collectives (dormitories);

Human Rights Compliance: 
In order to protect the rights and freedoms of the university's staff and students, and to ensure legality and law and order, a "trust box" for written appeals operates, as well as a Commission for Combating Corruption and the collection of letters from the "trust box."
A Disciplinary Commission also operates, whose activities are aimed at reviewing complaints and appeals regarding unacceptable actions or inactions of university staff.
INCLUSIVE EDUCATION: 
Tasks of supporting inclusive education at NPJSC «KMU»:
- Creating an effective system of psychological, pedagogical, and medical-social support for students in the educational institution aimed at maximizing the correction of their psychophysical development deficiencies;
- Ensuring students master educational programs in accordance with state educational standards;
- Fostering a tolerant attitude among all participants in the educational process towards the issues faced by individuals with disabilities.
The Regulation on the organization of inclusive education dated 03.07.2025
To support accessible inclusive education, a working group is established with the following tasks:
- Forming an effective system of psychological, pedagogical, and medical-social support for students in the educational institution aimed at maximizing the correction of their psychophysical development deficiencies;
- Assessing and studying the problems faced by students in mastering educational programs in accordance with state educational standards;
- Fostering a tolerant attitude among all participants in the educational process towards the issues faced by individuals with disabilities;
- Creating equality in the university and educational environment that is favorable for realizing the personal and intellectual potential, emotional, communicative, and physical development of individuals with disabilities.
