  • Assistant Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Political Disciplines. Started her career in higher education in September 2006 at the Karaganda State Medical Academy (KSMU).
  • From 2006 to 2011, she held positions as a lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines, Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of General Medicine for International Students. Worked as a senior expert in the Methodological Support Department of the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2012-2013).
  • In 2016, defended her doctoral dissertation (PhD) on the topic Faculty Perceptions and Experiences of Curriculum Renewal in Kazakhstan’s Higher Education at the Graduate School of Education, Nazarbayev University (GSENU). The dissertation supervisor was Professor Lynn Parmenter, and the advisory committee included Associate Professor Jason Sparks, Vice Dean of GSENU, Dr. Faye Turner, and Dr. Simon Brownhill from the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge (UK). The external examiner was Professor Iveta Silova from Arizona State University (USA).
  • From 2017 to 2018, worked as a project manager for TRUNAK [Transition to University Autonomy in Kazakhstan], developing a model of academic autonomy for universities in Kazakhstan. Also participated as a researcher in the WELCOME project focused on studying the internationalization of universities.
  • In 2021, completed a postdoctoral program at the Graduate School of Education, Nazarbayev University (GSENU), as part of the Nazarbayev University Collaborative Research Program (NU-CRP 2021–2023); Graduate students’ challenges with academic reading and writing in English medium universities in Kazakhstan.
  • Research interests include the management of higher education reforms, educational reforms, and curriculum development challenges.
  • Has 14 publications in journals indexed in RSCI (Russia), COKSON (Kazakhstan), and in Scopus Q1, Q2 journals. Hirsch Index in Scopus - 1, Hirsch Index in Google Scholar - 2.
