School of Medicine
The School of Medicine is an academic, scientific, administrative division of the Medical University of Karaganda, which has the largest contingent of students.
The advantages of studying at the School of Medicine are the presence of a university clinic and clinical bases, a practicing teaching staff, as well as the constant development of the technical base. This makes it possible to train specialists in accordance with modern domestic and international standards for work in all areas of healthcare.
The priority directions of the School of Medicine are:
- training of personnel in accordance with world standards
- cooperation with universities of near and far abroad on academic mobility programs (Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Lithuania, Czech Republic, India, etc.)
- constant monitoring and taking measures to improve the educational process and examination, as well as attendance by students.
- constant interaction with practical healthcare and assistance in the employment of graduates.
Students are taught in the state and Russian languages.Due to the actualization of multilingual education, which contributes to the formation of competitive education in the context of globalization, training is also implemented in multilingual and English-speaking groups

Student Life
The student life of the School of Medicine is organized by the Student Government Committee. KSSU is responsible to the Dean's office for the state of the sphere of activity of the youth structures of schools entrusted to it . Monthly KSSU schools hold events of various kinds for university students .
These are such events as "Dedication to students", fairs of scientific circles, exhibitions, educational trainings, Olympiads, conferences
School history
The school was founded as the Dean's office of the Faculty of Medicine in 1950 from the day of the foundation of the first faculty within the walls of the Karaganda State Medical Institute.
From the 2012-2013 academic year, the Dean's Office of Medicine, Pediatrics, Oriental Medicine and Internship was renamed the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Internship
From the 2017-2018 academic year, as a result of the reorganization of the structural divisions of the University, the dean's office was renamed the Dean's office of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry.
Since 2019, modernization has taken place and this department has been renamed the School of Medicine.
