“January Readings at Karaganda Medical University”, on the occasion of the university's founding day on January 20, 1950, took place at KMU. The readings were held in the form of lectures on current issues in medicine, education, and science. Leading experts and representatives of the scientific community gave lectures aimed at shaping the professional identity, motivation, and values of medical university students.



The following speakers made presentations:
- Olga Viktorovna Smirnova, Head of the Department of the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Karaganda Region.



- Gamal Sailyauovich Toksambayev, Director of the Multidisciplinary Hospital No. 3 of Karaganda of the Department of Healthcare of the Karaganda region.



- Yelena Mikhailovna Laryushina, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at KMU, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor.



- Kairat Tanabayevich Shakeev, Professor of the Department of Surgical Diseases at KMU, Professor.
