First academic mobility within the framework of the double-degree joint educational program 6B10117 “Medicine”

Karaganda Medical University hosted a visit by Olga Arkadyevna Khabibrakhmanova, Doctor of Historical Sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of History, Philosophy, and Sociology at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Kazan State Medical University, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, on the subject of History of Russia. This visit is the first academic mobility of a faculty member within the framework of the implementation of the joint double-degree educational program 6B10117 “Medicine.”



A working meeting with the university management took place in a warm, insightful, and cooperative atmosphere. The meeting was attended by: Bakhyt Nurgaliyevna Kosherova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of “KMU” NCJSC, Zhaniya Abayevna Dauletkaliyeva, Vice-Rector for Academic and Social Work at “KMU” NCJSC, Professor Sholpan Sabatayevna Kaliyeva, Head of the joint educational program 6B10117 “Medicine” on behalf of “KMU” NCJSC, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Evidence-Based Medicine at “KMU” NCJSC, Svetlana Andreyevna Nikiforova, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Disciplines at “KMU” NCJSC.
The parties discussed issues of academic collaboration, methodological support for the subject “History of Russia,” opportunities for developing faculty exchanges, and further steps for cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the joint educational program. Particular attention was paid to the educational interests of students and improving the quality of their training in an intercultural and interuniversity form.
This academic mobility is an important practical step in strengthening of cooperation between Karaganda and Kazan Medical Universities, aimed at integrating the best educational practices of the two countries and improving international medical education.
