What do international students of Karaganda Medical University know about Karaganda? Interesting facts about the city’s history — these and many other questions served as the basis of an event organized by Assistant Professor of the Department at History of Kazakhstan and Social-Political Disciplines, Madina Bulatovna Ospanova, for students of the International Medical Faculty of Karaganda Medical University. The event was dedicated to the Birthday of Karaganda.

The historical lecture provided comprehensive information about the formation and development of the city of Karaganda. Particular attention was given to key events and dates. An art-therapy exercise on the topic of “The Future of Karaganda: How I See the City in 50 Years” was aimed at developing students’ creative, analytical, and time perspective thinking skills.

During the educational game “How Well Do I Know Karaganda?” students were presented with statements containing both accurate and inaccurate facts related to the city’s history. Their task was to determine the validity of the information provided.

The students demonstrated a high level of interest, actively participated in discussions, and showed strong knowledge of the city’s history.
