To mark the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, one of the founders of the Kazakh written literature, a roundtable discussion was held at the Department of Internal Medicine on November 17, 2025. The event was held in a warm and impactful ambience, becoming an important platform for promoting creative activities and legacy of Abay among the younger generation.
The roundtable discussion was attended by the department's faculty and students from the groups 4-042 GM and 3-033 GM.
The event was moderated by Professor Saule Dautbekovna Nursultanova, who emphasized that Abay's ideas and thoughts, encouraging erudition, diligence, and responsible citizenship, which remain relevant today. Assistant moderator Professor Lyailya Sharipovna Seksenova noted that the 180th anniversary of Abay is an important event that highlights his significance as a spiritual symbol of the Kazakh nation. Student speakers from the group 4-042 Aizhan Kaidar, Diyara Mukhanova, and Adina Omarova, provided assistance.  
As part of the roundtable discussion, students from the group 4-042 delivered a presentation on the biography and work of Abay: "Abay Kunanbayev recognized by the world";
Poems and prose full of edification and wisdom were read:

* "Жаным достан да, жаудан да шаршады - Ramazan Mirkenov
* "Қыс" - Shakaman Shyngys
* "Жастық шағымда ғылымның қадірін білмедім", "Ол жанып кетпейді" - Ramazan Gissa
* "Адамдарға сенбе, қанша мақтаса да" - Altynay Niyat
* "28-ші сөз" - Shirin Tulkinova;
A beautiful kuy dedicated to Abay and Kazakh spirituality was performed:
* "Көңіл толқыны" by Tashkin Meirali.
The event was a significant contribution by the department to promote the cultural legacy of the great Abay and demonstrated the students' strong spiritual engagement in discussing the poet's work.
