“Karaganda Medical University” NCJSC, in order to encourage academics who have contributed to the advancement of science and to encourage young researchers, announces the intra-university competition “Best Researcher of ‘Karaganda Medical University’ NCJSC – 2025.” The competition is dedicated to Science Workers’ Day.
Full-time employees of NCJSC “KMU” who are actively engaged in research activities are invited to participate.
Within the framework of the Competition, two awards will be granted:
1. One award in the nomination “Best Scientist” – in the amount of 100 MCI (Monthly Calculation Index);
2. One award in the nomination “Best Young Scientist” – in the amount of 50 MCI.
Young scientists are defined as employees aged up to 40 years inclusive. The same applicant cannot apply for more than one nomination. The award will be granted to the candidate who receives the highest number of points within a single nomination according to the established scientific achievement evaluation criteria.
To participate in the Competition, applicants submit the following documents:
1. An application form for participation in the Competition for the award (according to Form KMU 6/3-01/1);
2. Information in accordance with the scientific achievement evaluation indicators (as per the MS Excel table format);
3. Supporting materials and documents for each selected criterion listed in the scientific achievements form;
4. A letter of employment verification issued by the Human Resources Management Department of “KMU” NCJSC.
Documents for participation in the Competition must be submitted via corporate email to the specialist of the Department of Scientific Work at Aleshina@qmu.kz no later than March 21, 2026 (inclusive).
The applicant’s scientific achievements will be evaluated according to the following indicators:
1. Academic degree, academic title, and Hirsch index;
2. Research work with students;
3. Supervision of degree-awarded personnel training;
4. Supervision and participation in scientific projects and programs;
5. Availability and quality of scientific results (articles in peer-reviewed journals, monographs and/or chapters in monographs, patents, methodological recommendations, and copyright certificates);
6. Verified results of scientific and scientific-technical activities and their implementation.
All indicators will be considered for the 2025 calendar year only.
