Vivarium

The vivarium provides scientific research and educational process of NPJSC "KMU" with laboratory animals. More than a thousand rats and three hundred mice are bred annually.

We plan to strengthen and expand the material and technical base, including expanding the range of laboratory animals to support the research activities of NPJSC "KMU" in our own and joint scientific projects.

History

History

  • Since the 50s, when a small room for keeping animals was allocated in the courtyard of the building on Alalykina Street.
  • In the 70s, with the advent of the Central Research Laboratory (CRL) at 40 Gogol Street, the vivarium received its new building.  
  • In 2011, after major repairs, the vivarium was significantly transformed.
