Mission
Description of the educational program: this EP is aimed at training a qualified doctor of phthisiologist, who has theoretical knowledge in the field of phthisiology and possesses the necessary skills to provide emergency and planned care for phthisiatric pathology.
What will you learn?
1st course
- Provision of anti-tuberculosis care to children and adults at the outpatient level, methods of early diagnosis, prevention of tuberculosis in children and adults;
- Differential diagnosis of pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis in children and adults.
2nd course
- Provision of anti-tuberculosis care to children and adults at the hospital level;
- Tuberculosis treatment methods (chemotherapy, pathogenetic therapy, surgical treatment, collapse therapy and rehabilitation therapy);
- Methods of radiation diagnostics with interpretation of their results in normal, pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis, formulation of conclusions based on X-ray data;
- Methods of diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pulmonary pathology of non-tuberculosis etiology.
Final learning outcomes
- Demonstrates knowledge in the field of phthisiological service organization.Maintains medical records in a comprehensive, timely and clear manner in electronic patient record systems.
- Demonstrates knowledge of methods of diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis, knows the tactics of management of patients with suspected emergency conditions in phthisiatrics at the outpatient and inpatient stages.
- Demonstrates compassion, integrity, and respect for others. Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse patients regardless of gender, age, culture, nationality, and other characteristics.
