Training of highly qualified specialists who are able to meet the needs of society in providing medical care to children, apply and develop advanced innovative technologies in medicine, science and practice, use the achievements of information and communication technologies, strengthen the health of the child population.
What will you learn?
- Methods of diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation and medical and social expertise of typical, rare and difficult to diagnose diseases of young and older children.
- Methods of diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of surgical pathology, childhood infections, tuberculosis, skin diseases, pathology of the newborn period, emergency and emergency care for children of various ages.
Final learning outcomes
- Diagnose and treat childhood diseases from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine and in accordance with the protocols of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- To apply the most informative methods of diagnosing childhood diseases, to interpret the results of the study.
- To carry out prenatal patronage and patronage of a newborn child, to monitor and treat newborns.
- To develop and carry out preventive examinations, a plan of rehabilitation measures, dispensary supervision of healthy and sick children.
- To determine the indications and contraindications for immunization, to vaccinate children according to the scheme of the national vaccination calendar, to carry out anti-epidemic work at the site.
- To sort children according to urgent and priority signs, to provide emergency care for life-threatening conditions, poisoning, accidents to children at the pre-hospital stage.
- To provide advice and training to patients and their parents on the rules of rational nutrition, hygiene and effective care, performing medical procedures and manipulations.
- To apply effective communication and cooperation with children and their family members in their work, using various information technologies to optimize patient care, information exchange and communication with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform their professional duties in good faith, apply their accumulated knowledge and qualifications in their work, comply with ethical principles and confidentiality, provide safe, effective and qualified assistance to the children's population.
- To carry out the types and volumes of medical care provided within the framework of the current regulatory framework of the healthcare system.
Employment
After completing their education in the OP, graduates can work in public and private healthcare institutions as pediatricians, and obtain the right to private practice in accordance with current regulatory legal acts. Further training in master's degree, doctoral studies, certification course in narrow specialties of pediatric profile.
