Mission

Training of competent medical oncologists who will provide high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic, therapeutic, accompanying, rehabilitative and palliative care to patients with precancerous and tumor pathology, using a full range of practical opportunities and provide this training in a favorable learning environment.

What will you learn?

1-2 course
  • Clinical training of residents, acquisition and improvement of theoretical and practical skills in the organization of oncological care in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the study of modern diagnostic capabilities in oncology;
  • Mastering clinical, histogenetic and topographic-anatomical classification, TNM classification;
  • Mastering the methods of treatment of major oncological diseases to the extent necessary for independent work by a polyclinic and hospital doctor.

Final learning outcomes

  1. Perform a clinical assessment of the patient's condition, a physical examination. Interpret clinical information. Integrate pathology and imaging data.
  2. Develop a survey plan. Selectively prescribe and perform appropriate diagnostic tests, establish a diagnosis. To determine the stage of the disease and prognostic factors, the multidisciplinary goal of treatment.
  3. Perform the prescribed treatment. Monitor the effectiveness and safety of treatment. To assess the toxicity of treatment based on clinical and laboratory signs.
  4. To carry out accompanying and supportive therapy, medical rehabilitation.
  5. Work in a team, including an advisory role, in most clinical situations.
  6. Communicate with patients and their families to explain the diagnosis, plan treatment, discuss the risks and benefits of antitumor therapy and the expected results.
  7. Work with members of the treatment team, including nursing staff, diagnostic service specialists to coordinate and provide treatment.
