Mission

Training of highly qualified specialists who are able to meet the needs of society in providing medical care to patients with a hematological profile, apply and develop advanced technologies in medicine, science and practice, study throughout life, and strengthen public health.

What will you learn?

1st year
  • Verification of the diagnosis and management tactics of adult patients with blood diseases at the inpatient level of medical care;
  • To diagnose and provide emergency care for hematological patients, master the skills of puncture, bone marrow biopsy, and transfusion of blood components.
2nd year
  • Conducting highly specialized hematological care, verification of diagnosis, management tactics and dynamic monitoring of adult patients with blood diseases at the outpatient and inpatient replacement level of medical care, differential diagnosis for hematological syndromes of related specialties.

Final learning outcomes

  1. To establish a diagnosis based on modern diagnostic methods and implement a hemoblastosis treatment program according to clinical protocols for diagnosis and treatment of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with an assessment of its effectiveness.
  2. Diagnose and treat diseases of the blood, hematopoietic organs of a non-tumor nature on the basis of evidence-based medicine.
  3. To determine indications and conduct highly specialized hematological care based on evidence-based medicine.
  4. To determine indications and carry out transfusions of blood components and preparations in accordance with the requirements of the current regulatory legal documents of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  5. Diagnose and provide medical care for emergency conditions in adult patients with hematological diseases.
  6. Observing the principles of continuity, to manage and monitor patients with diseases of the blood and hematopoietic organs at the outpatient stage.
  7. To advise patients with hematological problems in diseases of other organs and systems, pregnant women, to effectively use differential diagnosis algorithms for hematological syndromes.

Employment

After completing their studies under the educational program, graduates can work in public and private healthcare organizations as an adult hematologist, and receive the right to private practice in accordance with current regulatory legal acts.
