Description of the educational program

The purpose of the educational program is to train a specialist with the knowledge and skills necessary to solve key tasks of professional activity in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population and public health .

1st year

Knowledge and skills:

In the field of information and communication technologies;
Kazakh (Russian) and English languages;
On the basics of anatomy, physiology and molecular biology;
In human anatomy and physiology, as well as molecular biology.

2nd year

Knowledge and skills:

In the field of socio-political disciplines, philosophy;
In basic medical sciences;
For emergency care;
According to statistical research methods;
On general hygiene and ecology;
On infectious diseases and phthisiology;
On management.

3rd year

Basic knowledge and skills:

On bioethics;
On communal hygiene;
On food hygiene;
On hygiene of children and adolescents;

4th year

Basic and professional knowledge and skills:

On strategic and operational management;

Final learning outcomes

Identify problems that threaten the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, carry out measures to prevent and eliminate them within the framework of existing regulatory legal acts.
Apply the principles of good ethical practice regarding the research, collection, dissemination and use of data.
Recommend specific control measures and management actions based on the epidemiological situation, the results of epidemiological studies or other data.
To use modern knowledge about human health and the causes of diseases to develop preventive measures.
To use laboratory methods and resources for the implementation of measures within the framework of monitoring, control and supervision in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.
To evaluate the indicators of sanitary and epidemiological well-being of objects of habitat and professional activity using innovative technologies for collecting, processing and analyzing data for epidemiological practice.
Develop public health programs at the national, regional and population levels based on epidemiological research data.
Manage the processes of professional activity, understand its financial mechanisms and take them into account when planning activities and volumes of work, be able to apply them in practice.
