RULES OF STUDENT BEHAVIOR

Simulation training is a mandatory component in the training of medical professionals, using a model of professional activity to provide each learner with the opportunity to practice professional skills and competencies in accordance with the standards of medical care.

Before the class begins:

Leave:

  • Outer clothing in the coatroom, bag, and personal belongings in the CSET storage locker

Wear:

  • A gown, cap, and indoor shoes (must have disposable gloves, masks, and wet wipes)

Proceed to:

  • The training room. Entry is not permitted without a CSET instructor/trainer.

During the class:

Prohibited:

  • Using mobile phones in the training rooms (this causes program disruptions in the mannequins). Phones must be turned off
  • Performing any manipulations on the simulator independently, turning it on/off, or loading programs on computers without the presence of an instructor or CSET staff

In case of any malfunctions or breakdowns of simulators, mannequins, or computers:

  • Do not attempt to fix the malfunction yourself!
  • Immediately report it to the skills instructor or CSOT staff
  • During breaks, students are not allowed to remain in the training room without an instructor. Breaks and returns follow the CSET break schedule.
  • For students unprepared for classes, the skills instructor or department faculty has the right to assign the group to complete sessions at CSOT on Saturdays.

Be careful!

  • Pouring liquid into the simulator or mannequin may damage internal components.
  • Using medical instruments may compromise the integrity of the mannequin.

Not allowed:

  • Leaving marks from pens, ink, or markers on the mannequin.
  • Using iodine or other similar solutions during simulator and mannequin practice.
  • Using water-based silicone spray when inserting any invasive device.

After the class ends:

  • Carefully drain all liquid from the simulator.
  • Clean up the workspace and check the integrity of the simulator or mannequin.

Important request!

Please handle training equipment and medical instruments with care.

Video surveillance is in operation!

  • For a single violation of these rules, the CSOT director may request a written explanation from the student regarding the reason for the rule violation and inform the instructor, department head, and university administration.

  • For repeated rule violations, the university administration may consider applying disciplinary action against the student.
