A debate tournament dedicated to the International Day against smoking was held in Karaganda state medical university on November 14, on a theme “Young people are against smoking".

In the spring of 2014, the sport club of KSMU decided to make a tournament on football for the students of the university. So a new competition - championship of dormitories on futsal appeared in the university plan of events on educational work.Status of championship constantly grows, like an event that collects many active, healthy, cheerful young people and unite them by the necessary and useful business.

The sport competition “Freshman 2014” came to an end in Karaganda state medical university. Yesterday's schoolchildren, and now the students of university competed in seven types of sport. In the first day the strongest teams was determined in basket-ball, chess, checkers and togyzkumalak. And winners in volley-ball, table tennis and shooting were determined nearer by the end of the competitions.

Traditionally great attention is paid to the sport issues in Karaganda state medical university. The times when medical sportsmen were the outsiders of student competitions went west. Now, the sport in KSMU is on the upgrade and now in any tournament our teams are deservedly considered one of the favourites.

In the period from 3 to 8 November training camp before the national championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in judo among men was held in Karazhal.The 2nd year student of MPF, Faculty of Preventative Medicine, Biology and Pharmacy Uzakbaev Nurjan, participated in this camp who is a candidate of the sport of judo and a member of the national team Karaganda region.
