According to the tradition, the solemn rewarding of students and interns who participated in the competition of his own poems, dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, passed at the Department of Internal diseases №2. 6 participants among students and interns of the specialty general medicine in Russian and Kazakh language learning took part in this competition.

On the eve of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan a competition "Intellectual of the first year – 2014” was held in Karaganda State Medical University. It was organized by the members of amateur talent group "Konferans" under the direction of Department of Educational and social work with students.

Exhibition "Art-gallery" took place in our university with great success on November 25. An event was organized by the specialist of department of educational and social work Мashrapova Akku together with the studio of fine art of КSMU.Works of students attending the studio of fine art were presented on an exhibition.An event caused large interest for all judges of art,the hall of the third floor was full of people long before opening of exhibition.

From September 16 to October 25, 2014 (6 weeks) I was lucky enough to visit South Korea, which hosted the Second International Medical training Program-2014. The Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) of the Ministry of Healthcare of Korea held a grant competition for participation in the program among medical specialists from around the world. Successfully passed all stages of the contest, I received an invitation to the program and a grant to cover all costs associated with it.

KSMU medical student Saniya Kosdauletova,the 7th year of “General Medicine”participated on exchange programme and visited National Taiwan University, College of Medicine, Taiwan (www.med.ntu.edu.tw). According to the programme she participated in elective courses of family medicine and Radiology.Course duration: Family medicine – 3 week; Radiology – 3 week.

World Diabetes Day on the 14 in of November - the date is chosen as recognition of one of the discoverers of insulin by Frederick Banting, who was born on the 14 in of November in 1891.
Since 2007, it is celebrated under the auspices of the United Nations.

On the 20th of November, the Interuniversity Multilingual Olympiad was held by the teachers of foreign languages department of Karaganda State Medical University. The 1st and 2nd –year- students of non-language faculties of 6 Universities took part in the Olympiad.

The 5 International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveilance (IMED) was conducted from October 31 to November 3, 2014. It was organized by the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID). The emerging infectious diseases are at the center of world attention now. A wide range of issues were discussed on the conference related to the risks associated with modern epidemics, pandemics and bioterrorism.
