On 26 October, the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK) of Karaganda region, scientific and expert group of APK and the public association called “Youth movement for the future of Kazakhstan” held at KSMU the Regional Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Polyethnic society and modern state: national models and strategies”, dedicated to 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On 26 October at “Zhastar” sports centre was held an annual event called “Purity Cup: student league”. 9 teams of 90 people from universities and institutions of technical and professional education of the city took part in the action. The representatives of youth organizations of the city became the members of the jury. The tournament was held in 3 stages.

26 September is the World Contraception Day, celebrated worldwide every year. The interns of 6-003 group, obstetricians-gynecologists of “General Medicine” specialty, headed by their mentor and assistant of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology R.V. Vorobyova conducted an educational event entitled “Contraception: protection of women's health and not only...” for students of KSMU at the Dormitories No. 1, No. 3 and No. 6 on 26-29 September 2016.

On October 24 at our University was held a meeting of the graduates of specialties“Public health” and “Medical and preventive care” with the representatives of the Department of Consumer Protection and the Board of Consumer Protection of Karaganda region.

And also, for studying in our university come students from different high educational institutions of both Kazakhstan and neighboring countries.

On 24 October 2016 at the Department of Internal Diseases No. 1 of Karaganda State Medical University by 4-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine and Dentistry were defended science projects with the use of the principle of research-based learning (RBL).

On 22 October, Youth Work Department together with the activists of KazMSA, under the leadership of the Local Officer of SCOPH Tolegen Nurtolkyn conducted the action “Vision is our wealth!” at “Murager” specialized school. The organizers decided to tell pupils about the importance of visual organs, talk about diseases of visual analyzer and the ways of prevention of eye diseases.

On 21 October was held the traditional annual “Autumn Cup” of CFI league of Karaganda at the Palace of Miners' Culture. From year to year this game brings together the most cheerful and inventive teams of the region. 5 teams from universities of the region met this year in the frameworks of “Autumn Cup”. Among them were the following: KarSU, KarSTU, KEU and one team with the ingenious name “Теория большого взрыва” (“The Big Bang Theory”).
