On 22 October, Youth Work Department together with the activists of KazMSA, under the leadership of the Local Officer of SCOPH Tolegen Nurtolkyn conducted the action “Vision is our wealth!” at “Murager” specialized school. The organizers decided to tell pupils about the importance of visual organs, talk about diseases of visual analyzer and the ways of prevention of eye diseases.

    Reduction of visual acuity, especially among young people, is an urgent problem of nowadays. The members of KazMSA decided to contribute to the noble cause of preserving health of young generation.

    The event started with the introductory presentation on KazMSA, through which the pupils could learn about the association of medical youth, its goals and objectives.

    2-year student Amanzholova Alua prepared a presentation “Vision is our wealth!”, in which easily and qualitatively were revealed the topics of visual analyzer and concomitant diseases.

    The activist of KazMSA Ulpan Zeinel played with the pupils the game titled “Eagle eye”. Three volunteers from among the pupils had to read an inscription written on a sheet of paper. A participant, who succeeded in reading the inscription from the farthest distance, became a winner of the game. The winner was awarded a small prize. For prevention of shortsightedness, to the pupils was shown a video “Gymnastics for the eyes” and were given brochures with detailed description of exercises.

    At the end of the event, the pupils received a clear answer to the question: What should we do for preserving vision? The answer was quite simple: we should lead a healthy lifestyle, maintain correct reading mode and we should not overuse the electronic devices.
