Based on the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On health of nation and healthcare system” and the Order “On approval of Rules of qualification exams in healthcare” the Karaganda Regional Department of Control Committee of Medical and Pharmaceutical Activity of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan successfully carried out the assessment of practical skills for medical personnel with higher medical education on August 26 - September 3, 2014.

From 31 August to 6 September 2014 was held Salzburg seminar on "Internal diseases", organized by the American Foundation of education together with the Ministry of health Austria. On the 5-9th of September, 2014 the International Congress of Antibiotics and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ICAAC) took place in Washington, DC. Our report «Molecular and Epidemiological features of MRSA in Kazakhstan» was included in the conference program.

From August 31 to September 3, 2014 the annual Conference of Association of Medical Education in Europe AMEE 2014 took place in Milan (Italy). The conference brought together more than 3500 participants from different countries of Europe and the world including 6 delegates from Karaganda State Medical University. They are R. S. Dosmagambetova, A.Z. Muratova, Sh. S. Kaliyeva, V.P. Riklefs, B. K. Koychubekov and R. H. Begaydarova.

In anticipation of Kazakhstani People Language Day in September 17, 2014 KSU "Karaganda Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Nikolai Gogol", the Department of Culture, archives and documents of the Karaganda region held the literary and informative competition «Мен бір жұмбақ адаммын...» dedicated to the memory of the great poet Abay Kunanbaev. The students of all Karaganda universities took part in this competition.

The festive event dedicated to the Languages Day of the nations of Kazakhstan was held in September 19, in the assembly hall of KSMU. This event was prepared by the Foreign Languages Department.

On the first Saturday of September an annual sport-intellectual holiday for the first-year students named "Zhol Ashar" took traditionally place in KSMU.

The first Saturday of September was given very saturated for students of the Karaganda State Medical University. At once two events took place this day within the walls of favourite alma mater: "A festival of health 2014" and a sports and intellectual quiz for first-year students "Zhol ашар".
