On the 4th of March Interdisciplinary students’ conference «Kazakhstan is a multilingual state» was carried out by the Kazakh, Russian and Foreign languages departments in the reading room of dormitory № 4.

On the 26 of February was held a conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Alikhan Bukeikhanov. The initiator was the head of department of history of Kazakhstan and SPD Temirgaliev K.A. In this year the anniversary of a talented representative of the Kazakh intellectuals is celebrated by the United Nations organization on culture United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The 1st round of the all-Russian student Olympiad on surgery in the Urals Federal district was held in Yekaterinburg (Russia) on February 17-18, 2016, in which the team of KSMU students participated prepared by the Department of surgical diseases №2 and pathological anatomy, under the guidance of head of Department, Professor E. M. Turgunov.
