On the 26 of February was held a conference dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Alikhan Bukeikhanov. The initiator was the head of department of history of Kazakhstan and SPD Temirgaliev K.A. In this year the anniversary of a talented representative of the Kazakh intellectuals is celebrated by the United Nations organization on culture United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The conference was attended by students of different specialties of the Kazakh and Russian branch of “Public Health” group 2-001, “Medical Preventive Care” group 1-002, “Dentistry” group 1-003 and “General Medicine” group 1-017.

Students of the group “Public Health” 2-001 Ziyada Ulpan and Eskender Aziza also student of the group 1-002 “Medical Preventive Care” Zaskalko Yekaterina made reports and interesting and colorful presentations on Kazakh and Russian languages dedicated for live and activities of scientist, publicist and politician A.Bukeikhanov.

Senior teachers Abdrahmanova K.Z. and Dolgopolov A.B. provided this conference. The conference was attended by teachers of the department Alieva G., Rysbekova B. and Bakirova A.

After the speeches of the students and teachers were shown a fragment of the movie “Kazakhstan: the pages of history”. This is a film about the final period of A.Bukeikhanov’s life. After this film students asked some questions about the art way and life of the Kazakh leader’s spiritual elite. They asked about difficult time in our history from the early 20^th century. It was era of revolutions and wars when a young Kazakh intelligentsia entered the political arena with the idea of establishing their own autonomy the first Kazakh state.

Statements of the all participants were greeted by applause from the audience. Students’ audience in our opinion has not remained indifferent to the subject of this small but meaningful conference.
