On April 13-15, 2018 in the city of Astana, within the framework of the Program of Modernization of Public Consciousness "Ruhani Zhangyru" the International competition of scientific projects "Young Scientist" was held. It was conducted by the Republican Scientific and Pedagogical Center "BILIM-EDUCATION" (Kazakhstan). This is an educational project aimed at improving the quality of teaching by increasing the interest of students in research and education.

Women's club "Akzhunis" held a contest "Byrymdy Kyz" on 27.04.2018.The purpose of the contest was to show the beauty, mind, nobility, elegance, sophistication, dignity of Kazakh girls, respect for Kazakh folk art, knowledge of customs and traditions, to assess the aesthetic taste, creativity, develop skills and social self-control of our participants. During the contest girls of the organization "Akzhunis" delighted the audience with folk dance.

On April 29, 2018, I Republican student hackathon "HealthTech" was completed in Karaganda State Medical University.
9 teams from 8 universities of the country took part in the hackathon "HealthTech" having done a great job and showing the will to win.

On April 27, 2018 the opening of the first student book collection "Zhas-Kyran", launched as part of the "Best Student of 2018" project, organized by "Bridges of Concord" and a ceremony of awarding students whose names were included in this bookwas held in Astana.

Immunoprophylaxis has made a huge contribution to reducing the incidence of infectious diseases. It is enough to give examples of the elimination of smallpox in the world and polio on 3 continents, almost complete elimination of tuberculosis meningitis, tetanus. The incidence of measles and its complications is reduced to "no", the incidence of mumps, rubella, whooping cough, diphtheria and, accordingly, their complications sharply decreased.

From 16 to 20 April KSMU has participated in an International training “Comprehensive internationalisation: tools and methodologies” 2018 in the frame of Erasmus+ WELCOME «Towards incoming international university communities”. The training was organised on the base of Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.

On April 27, 2018 the opening of the I Republican student hackathon "HealthTech" was held at the Karaganda State Medical University.
Hackathon is a forum of developers, during which experts from different areas of software (programmers, designers, managers) are working together to solve a problem. Today hackathons no longer refer to hacking, they are just programming marathons.
