I Republican student hackathon "HealthTech"

  On April 29, 2018, I Republican student hackathon "HealthTech" was completed in Karaganda State Medical University.

  9 teams from 8 universities of the country took part in the hackathon "HealthTech" having done a great job and showing the will to win.

  All the teams reached the end of the race - 9 sufficiently developed prototypes possessing great potential for improvement and subsequent application were presented within the framework of the project.

  At the end of the hackathon, the participating teams presented the following projects: "Tracking of medicines and medical products", "Remote monitoring of patients", "Postoperative monitoring", "Drug search", "Notification", "WELCOME-card of KSMU", "Virtual clinic -1 "," Virtual clinic-2 ", and "Software for the laboratory".

"HealthTech" confirmed the fact that the most interesting prototypes are created by representatives of different specialties, perfectly knows its subject area and always ready to share knowledge and experience with colleagues.

The IMG team ("Post-operational monitoring") consisted of Korobeinikov Timur, Hamidollinov Galymzhan, Berdaliev Damirzhan, Dipner Boris and Mendybayeva Arailym became the winner of the project. The guys became the owners the prize money of 250 000 tenge from Hackaton partners.

In addition, the teams that took the next places received presents from the "DAMU" Information Technology Center.

Hakaton ended with a ceremony of awarding winners and participants, discussions of all projects in the format of master classes: mentors and experts gave their professional opinions and advice to participants, assessed the market potential and discussed the implementation of new ideas of the hackathon participants.

The results of the hakaton demonstrate the importance of regular events of this format, which allows to reveal the potential of each participant and achieve a synergistic effect of combining IT technologies and medicine.
