Ataturk University was founded in 1957. It is not much younger than our university. Educational institution consists of 17 faculties, 5 colleges, 16 professional colleges. All this is located in a place called Campus. Campus is a place where the faculty, dean`s offices, canteen, dormitories for students and for teachers are situated. 33544 students study at the University of Ataturk.

We were trained in Research Hospital at the University. Most of the time we spent at the department of surgery and gynecology, where we listened to lectures. There we supervised patients and performed manipulation. We also visited operations, where we observed them and we were given the opportunity to participate in.

Our day we started with rounds, where the doctor explained the ins and outs of inspection and questioning of a patient. Further lectures were conducted by leading experts, and then we could go to the patients to become familiar with the history of the disease and help during manipulation.

The hospital is very well equipped and there are all conditions for training and learning of theoretical material in practice. The atmosphere in the hospital  is pleasant. Doctors tried to explain us everything and were very helpful.

Passed semester was very pleasant  for us, we have discovered something new, we were able to assess education in Turkey and compare with our education. We try to share accumulated experience with the students of KSMU.

We want to express our gratitude to our university and the host side for the given opportunity and we wish our students to not be afraid and make a shot at learning of new things!
