On the 1^st of December, the whole country, the people of Kazakhstan are proud to celebrate the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main purpose of the celebration is citizens’ consolidation around the ideas and policy of the Head of the State, which became the foundation of sustainable development of the country during the years of Independence, now and in the future.

In order to develop civic patriotism among the students of Medical University, the festive event dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on the base of Foreign Languages Department on November 28, 2014. The festive event was attended by the 1^st and 2^nd – year students of the specialty General Medicine, as well by the guests – the students from KSTU.

Event organizers have prepared the video about the life of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Beksultan Toregeldy, student from the group 1045 GM, introduced his presentation devoted to the main aspects of Nazarbayev’s political activities. The event also included the quiz consisting of the questions on the history of formation and development of independent Kazakhstan, important dates and on the life and achievements of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The winners were awarded with prizes and letters of appreciation.

The event has shown that the students of our university support the policy of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and will make every effort to the economic development and political stability of our country, strengthening civil patriotism, kindness and harmony, peace among the nations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
