Diseases of the intestinal tract is one of the unsolved problems in colorectal surgery at the present stage of medicine’s development. Surgical treatment of patients with pathology of the gastrointestinal tract remains topical in spite of significant achievements in diagnosis and effective application of drugs. The widespread introduction of high-tech endoscopic interventions can facilitate postoperative period and improve rehabilitation of patients with severe abnormalities of the intestinal tract.

A master class in endoscopic techniques in colorectal surgery was held from the 13^th to the 17^th of October, 2014 as the implementation of the training program and implementation developed in the clinic of surgical diseases №1 of Karaganda State Medical University innovation patents of RK

Trainings was conducted in endoscopic techniques in surgery with training simulators of the firm «KarlStorz» as a part of the master class. Participants of the master class got a possibility to learn and improve the basic skills of video endoscopic surgery.

10 patients with non-standard and complicated pathologies of the intestinal tract were consulted to determine the diagnostic and treatment tactics during the work of master class. These patients were discussed together with Professor P. V. Tsarkov and two patients were determined indications for surgical intervention. The first patient with severe ulcerative colitis with the total lesion of the colon and rectum was performed videoendoskopic intervention in the volume of total colectomy with ileoreceptacle and formation of ileoanal anastomosis. It should be noticed that this operation is classified as complex, bulky and was performed for the first time in Kazakhstan.

All operations carried out in the framework of the master class, were broadcast from operating room in the audience, where moderators associate professor B. A. Begezhanov Professor S. I. Tokpanov, commented in detail in the online mode, which allows to get a full picture of operation’s progress to participants of the master class of the number of practicing doctors, residents and students. The main stage of the master class was the discussion of every surgery, where the technical possibilities, dangers and errors, and their solutions were discussed.

During the master class the following lectures were read: "New technologies in laparoscopic surgery," Professor S. I. Tokpanov’s; "Videolaparoscopic technique of resection of the colon with non-tumor pathology," of Professor K. T. Shakeev’s; "Dangers and complications of endoscopic operations on colon" and "Features of anterior resection of the rectum using a video endoscope technology," Professor P. V. Tsarkov’s.

The invaluable contribution of this kind of training activities has a positive effect on the development of treatments for patients with colon problems, provides a valuable practical experience of modern operations and most importantly improve the quality of such patients’ life.
