Information Day of Erasmus+ Programme in Kazakhstan hosted by Ryskulov Kazakh Economic University was held on October 23, 2014

Organizers of the event were National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan, Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Information Day was aimed to: provide information on Erasmus+ Call for Proposals, present Erasmus+ application, selection procedure, national and regional priorities; make practical recommendations to potential applicants in project design.

Participants:

·  Jean-Louis Lavroff – representative of the European Union in Kazakhstan, Head of the IT Department

·  Roisin Mc-Cabe – EC, Head  of the Department,  Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA)

·  Michael Jaumann – Director of the Informational Centre DAAD in Almaty

·  Dosbol Zharylgasov – projects Coordinator, British Counsil, Almaty

·  Shaizada Tasbulatova – Coordinator  Erasmus+ Programme in Kazakhstan.

Erasmus+ is the European Union's new programme for 2014 to 2020 to support projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training, youth and sport.

Erasmus+ programme aims to modernize and development of education, training, youth work, and sport, to boost skills and employability. The programme will significantly increase investments to the human development.

Erasmus+ brings together a number of 2007-2013 EU programmes in the fields of Education, Training, and Youth (the Lifelong Learning Programme, The Youth in Action Programme, The Erasmus Mundus Programme, Tempus, Alfa, EduLink, Programmes of cooperation with industrialized countries in the field of higher education). As an integrated programme, Erasmus+ offers more opportunities for cooperation across the Education, Training, Youth, and Sport sectors and is easier to access than its predecessors, with simplified funding rules.
