IV Congress of Physiologists of CIS countries
IV Congress of Physiologists of CIS countries was held in Sochi, the capital of the XXII Olympic Winter Games, on the base of hotel complex "Dagomys" from 8th to 12th of October 2014.
Decision adopted at the Founding Conference 2003 in Dagomys on the establishment of the Union of Physiological Society of CIS countries was the beginning of the CIS countries physiologists’ unification process, which contributed to the restoration and strengthening of cooperation of the participating countries physiologists, more efficient development of physiological sciences and teaching of physiology in universities.1432 delegates from almost all the CIS countries, as well as from the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Austria and others participated in the work of IV Congress of Physiologists ofCIS countries. The Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by 11 participants, among them 10representatives of the Institute of Human and Animal Physiology, Almaty and 1 - from KSMU. I was honored to take part in the congress as chairman of the symposium "The Physiology of the educational process. Teaching of the physiology" with prominent leading Russian physiologists, authors of textbooks on normal physiology, professors S.M. Budylina, V.P.Degtyarev, A.D. Nozdrachev, and presented an oral report "Innovative trends in the teaching of the normal physiology in the Republic of Kazakhstan", which aroused great interest among the audience of teachers of medical universities of the CIS countries.
The program of the Congress included assembly lectures dedicated to the memory of the classics of Physiology, plenary sessions, symposia, the round tables, poster presentations were organized, competition for young scientists was held. Documents on marital memorial lectures were given by academics representing leading physiological schools of Russia:
- lecture in the name of I.P. Pavlov «Физиологическая генетика регуляции функций» (Physiological Genetics of functions regulation) (L.N. Ivanov, Novosibirsk).
- lecture in the name of I.I. Mechnikov «Механизмы развития локального и системного воспаления» (Mechanisms of local and systemic inflammation) (V.A. Chereshnev, Ekaterinburg).
- lecture «В.Н. Черниговский: вклад в решение фундаментальных научных и организационных проблем отечественной физиологии» (V.N. Chernigov: contribution to the solution of fundamental scientific and organizational problems of patriotic physiology) (A.D. Nozdrachyov, St. Petersburg)
- lecture in the name of O.G. Gazenko «Физиологические эксперименты и исследования на животных в полетах автоматических космических аппаратов» (Physiological experiments and studies on animals in flights on automatic spacecraft) (E.A. Ilyin, Moscow).
- lecture in the name of P.G. Kostiuk «Молекулярнаяфизиологиязрения» (Molecular physiology of vision) (M.A. Ostrovsky, Moscow). These brilliant on the content lectures presented correlation of classical physiology till nowadays and gathered full houses and aroused great interest among the audience, and become a real "highlight» of IV Congress of CIS countries Physiologists.
It is difficult to enumerate all and symposium,
plenary lectures presented by leading scientists in the
field of physiology (they can be found in the collection of scientific works of the Congress). I would like to mention some of them: report of S.K. Sudakov "Interaction

In conclusion an extremely high scientific level of
representation at the congress of
scientists, academics, scientific schools of the CIS countries, as
well as the scientists from near
and far abroad should be noted. Participation in such
magnitude forums as the Congress of Physiologists of
CIS countries allows to enrich professional experience in the teaching of physiology in the
light of the latest achievements of modern physiology, identifying new and
creative plans for joint research and reiterating that
Karaganda State Medical University
is a leader in medical education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Physiology has no national
boundaries and regardless of
language, all physiologists
speak the same scientific language
