15-16 May 2014 in Almaty was held Second Republican Olympiad of Young Scientists public health with international participation, with the support of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation. The organizers of the Olympics was High School of Public Health.

In the competition was attended by teams of undergraduates 8 universities of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic: Karaganda State Medical University, Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov, West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M.Ospanov, High School of Public Health, Almaty State Institute of Advanced Medical Education , South Kazakhstan State Pharmaceutical Academy, Ahmet Yesevi University and Scientific Production Association "Preventive Medicine" Bishkek.

Team representing our university consisted of 3 participants:

- Baelov Aidar, master student first year of training, specialty "Public Health",

- Bobyrev Semen, master student first year of training, specialty "Medicine",

- Kultanova Elmira, master student first year of training, specialty "Public Health".

First day of the Olympiad was held in the conference hall of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation, and included three of the competition.

The 1st competition - Presentation of "The Challenges of us on the shoulder",

The 2nd competition - "Scrabble",

The 3rd competition - "Generators of ideas".

As a result, the prizes were distributed as follows:

1st  place went to the team Almaty State Institute of Advanced Medical Education,

2nd place was won by the team of West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M.Ospanov,

3rd place went to the team of young scientists of Karaganda State Medical University.

Very significant incentive for the teams was the fact that the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation, allocated the grant for international internships for one of the participants of the Olympiad. Team of Karaganda State Medical University has received a grant from the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation.

First day Olympiad ended friendly embraces, congratulations, shared photos, concert and dinner.

The second day of the Olympiad was held in the gym sports training complex Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation.

Master students of all universities were divided into three teams that competed in fun contests and psychological games: "On the ice", "Carpet plane", "Build the hospital of the future" and others.

The second day ended sightseeing tours within Almaty and trips to the ice rink "Medeo".
