A platform for discussing infectious diseases

A research and practical conference with international participation ALMATY INFECTOLOGY “Infectious diseases of a large metropolis” to mark the 135th anniversary of the First Rector of the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University and the 94th anniversary of the university was held.

The Forum gathered scientists and practical health care doctors from various cities and regions of Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Russia, Italy, and Uzbekistan.

KMU was presented by R.Kh. Begaidarova, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural History with a report on “Clinical aspects of measles at the present stage.”

A poster session was organized for young scientists, where Z.E. Alshimbayeva, PhD student of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology took part with a fragment of the dissertation topic on “Features of chickenpox in children at the present stage” (Supervisor – Professor R.Kh. Begaidarova).

The Forum became an effective platform for discussing topical issues related to infectious diseases. Scientists exchanged experience in the issues of clinic, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.

According to the evaluation of the contest committee, PhD student Z.E. Alshimbayeva was awarded a diploma of the 3rd degree for interesting, substantive work and its quality design.
