Ari, flu and pneumonia seminar for karaganda and ulytau colleagues

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to reduce and prevent maternal and infant mortality, improve the availability and quality of medical care for pregnant women, women in childbirth, puerperas and children, a number of measures have been implemented regarding medical universities.

  In this regard, taking into account the onset of the epidemiological season for ARVI, influenza and pneumonia, groups of speakers were formed from the teaching staff of the Karaganda Medical University to conduct a field seminar in assigned regions on the topic "Diagnosis and treatment of ARVI, influenza and pneumonia in pregnant women and children" for primary care clinic specialists and hospitals.

Employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology of «MUK» NCJSC actively work at the clinical base of the infectious diseases center of the Regional Clinic Hospital, provide active assistance to medical workers. Each employee of the department is assigned as a consultant in the supervised departments of the clinic.

Also, the staff of the department, represented by associate professor, doctor of phD, E.S. Devdariani is the chief freelance infectious disease specialist at the infectious diseases center of the Regional Clinical Hospital.

The Medical University of Karaganda provides the necessary assistance to practical healthcare not only in the Karaganda region, but also in the sponsored regions.

On behalf of Vice-Minister V. Dudnik, «MUK» NCJSC, represented by the Chairman of the Board - Rector A. A. Turmukhanbetova, organized a seminar in the city of Karaganda and a field seminar in the Ulytau region, in the city of Zhezkazgan and Kostanay for primary care clinic specialists and hospitals.

The seminar in Karaganda was held by employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology of the «MUK» NCJSC, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the RANH - R. Kh. Begaidarova, Ph.D., Professor A. A. Kim.

A field seminar in the Ulytau region, in the city of Zhezkazgan, was held by employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology of the «MUK» NCJSC, MD, Professor, Academician of the RAE - R.Kh. Begaidarova, Associate Professor, Doctor of PhD, Head of the Infectious Center - E .S. Zhunusov.

In Kostanay, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associated Professor - Chief Freelance Infectionist of the Infectious Diseases Center of the Regional Clinic Hospital Kh.G. Devdariani.

The purpose and objective of the seminar was to form a system of competencies for specialists on theoretical foundations and practical skills for working with patients.

More than 60 medical workers of the Karaganda region and more than 90 students from the Ulytau region, the city of Zhezkazgan and more than 70 students from the city of Kostanay took part in the seminar.

Clinical aspects, diagnostic criteria and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and pneumonia in children” were highlighted by R.Kh. Begaidarova.

Diagnostics and treatment, diagnostic criteria for acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and pneumonia in pregnant women, women in childbirth and puerperas were reviewed by associate professor, PhD doctor, head of the infectious center - E.S. Zhunusov and Ph.D., professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology A. A.Kim.

The lecturers covered the main issues related to this topic, as well as cases of observation from practice, during the consultation of patients with acute respiratory viral infections, influenza and pneumonia in the infectious center of Karaganda.

The purpose of providing medical care at all stages was the following:

1. At the outpatient level, ambulance - early detection of clinical manifestations of diseases, timely sorting, home treatment and hospitalization according to indications.

2. Stationary level (infectious department) - early start of treatment (anticipatory nature) in order to prevent the progression of the disease and the development of complications. Monitoring of comorbid diseases.

3. Stationary level (ICU) - intensive care, resuscitation therapy, in order to prevent an unfavorable outcome.

4. Outpatient-polyclinic level - effective respiratory, psychological rehabilitation and more.

Each person needs to know and follow the basic measures for the prevention of ARI, influenza and pneumonia.

To do this, the population is advised to avoid crowded places, poorly ventilated rooms, wear a mask, and observe personal hygiene.
