From 2^nd to 16^th of March, 2020, in NC JSC “Karaganda Medical University”, the head of the department of foreign languages, c.p.s., associate professor V.A. Burmistrova held the master-class “Special aspects of professionally oriented language teaching in high schools”.

45 participants of the master-class not only got acquainted with a number of relevant topics (active methods and games in professionally oriented language teaching; mind-maps and their application in educational process; the items in the test form in professionally oriented language teaching according to the method of V.S. Avanessov, etc.), but also mastered new ways of professional activity.

- presentation of pedagogical experience, in the framework of which V.A. Burmistrova briefly described the main ideas of the represented educational technologies, demonstrated an example and discussed with the audience the problems and prospects of language teaching;

- an imitation game - the author of the master-class program conducted a model lesson with the participants who simultaneously performed two roles - students and experts;

- modeling: the participants of the master-class constructed their own lesson models following the form proposed by the specialist; at the same time, V.A. Burmistrova played the role of a consultant, organizing an independent activity of the audience, and then participating in the discussion of participants’ models that were created during the practical part of the master-class.

The master-class ended with the discussion of the results of the joint activities of the teacher and the audience.
