During the talks the parts discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the French universities and the Karaganda Medical University.  Such issues of cooperation as: training of Kazakh obstetricians by French experts, cooperation with the Higher Institute of engineering Franche-Comte in the field of bioengineering, cooperation within the program of academic mobility programs, including the international credit mobility Erasmus+, cooperation within the scholarship program "Abay-Verne", invitation of a volunteer in the French language to the Karaganda Medical University were touched upon.

In general, cooperation between Karaganda Medical University and French universities is one of the strategic directions. Thus, one of the strategic partners of the University is the University of Poitiers, with which a Memorandum of cooperation was signed in 2014. The main areas of cooperation between the parties under this agreement are: personnel exchange, student exchange, cooperation in the fields of education, research and expert research, exchange of University documentation, cultural and intercultural activities for staff and students of both parties. Every year students have the opportunity to study at the University of Poitiers under the academic mobility program. At the moment, the University of Poitiers enrolled 3 PhD students of KMU.
