On October 23-24, the Regional Entrepreneurial Weekend REW Challenge was held at the Karaganda Medical University. The event was held within the framework of the project “Ecosystem of student entrepreneurship”. The project is implemented by our university in partnership with ERG, AlmaU and the Association of Friends of Tel Aviv University.

  The first day of the weekend was opened by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Karaganda Medical University Victor Riklefs, Project Manager of the School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation of AlmaU Asem Kabulova, PR Manager of the Corporate Communications Department of ERG Sauya Seypenova. Speakers have noted that for 3 years, students of the Karaganda Medical University have been actively involved in to ongoing events.

  On the same day, training was organized for students on the tracks “6P Principle - Conscious Consumption” (trainer is Nadezhda Vashchenko, co-founder of EcoNetwork, ecotrainer) and “Creating spaces for local communities” (trainer is Vladislav Filatov, architect of DNT Center Story, project curator “New public spaces”).

  On the second day, the participants developed projects aimed at improving the urban landscape. The participants received a task to study the problems of the city from the speakers. 18 teams presented various ideas: from warm benches to cleaning the lake in the Central Park of Culture and Rest. The main topics of the entrepreneurial weekend were “Urban Studies” and “Ecology”.

  “Olympic Entrepreneurial Games” will be the final event of the project this year and will be held in December in Nur Sultan.
