At the end of the school year, a histology Olympiad was held at the 2nd year of school of medicine (Russian department). In the first round of the Olympiad, 96 students have been participated. Each student was offered a task consisting of 20 questions on cytology, embryology and general histology. Each correctly answered question was rated at 5 points. The maximum result for the task - 100 points. According to the results of the assignments, 27 people were selected who participated in the second round.

  The participants of the second round were offered variants of tasks consisting of six situational tasks and two silent schemes for fabrics. Each correctly solved situational problem was estimated at 10 points, a silent scheme - 20 points. The maximum result for the task - 100 points. At the end of the second round, ten students were selected for the third round.

The winners of the Olympiad were awarded diplomas. In the essay, students name the key points that allow them to successfully know the subject: the realization that histology is the basic discipline for studying clinical subjects, the identity of the teacher, the study of micropreparations with a drawings, which makes it possible to better memorize the microscopic structure of tissues.

Zhanaydarova G.U., Professor of the Department of Morphology and Physiology, was responsible for preparing the materials and conducting the Olympiad. Associated professors Dzhumabayeva S.K, Yessimova R.Zh., assistant professor Berikbayeva B.Kh., took an active part in the Olympiad.
