Training in the framework of the Erasmus+ project WELCOME
Within the framework of participation in the Erasmus+
WELCOME project “Towards incoming international university communities”, the
KMU took part in the international training “Implementation of Credit Mobility”
from June 3 to 7, 2019. The training was organized on the base of the
University of Perpignan Via Domitia in Perpignan, France.
- Medical University of Karaganda (Karaganda, Kazakhstan);
- L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, Kazakhstan);
- Narxoz University (Almaty, Kazakhstan);
- Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade (Astana, Kazakhstan);
- Beihang University (Beijing, China);
- Tongji University (Shanghai, China).
Also, within the framework of this training, a working meeting of the consortium of the Erasmus + WELCOME project “Towards incoming international university communities” was held.
1. Diversification of international student recruitment.
2. "Internationalization at home".
3. Internationalization of research area.
4. Participation and extension of university positions on national and international rankings.
5. Further development and enhancement of partnerships and networks in the international space.
During the training following topics were covered:
- French strategy for international cooperation;
- Implementation of credit mobility: identifying and overcoming obstacles;
- Student mobility program: administrative management;
- Management of exchange programs: on the example of Erasmus and BCI programs;
- Management of exchange programs: on the example of International Credit Mobility Erasmus +;
- Development and management of student exchange agreements;
- Academic equivalence and recognition of student mobility;
- Professional trainings and apprenticeship: an example of cross-border mobility France-Spain;
- Mobility in higher education: what are the future challenges?;
- Virtual mobility: an example of the Miro program.
In addition, all the trainees participated in a practical work in small groups. So, on June 7, a lecture was given on a procedural map, the lecturer - Rebeca Thomas, University of Rovira and Virhili (Spain). Group work was devoted to the development and implementation of procedural maps of the international centers of the universities.
To remind, the implementation of WELCOME project at KMU started in October 2016. The main aim of the project is to strengthen the international dimension and internationalisation in Higher Educational Institutions of Kazakhstan and China.
