On April 11, the “Project Day” project creation championship organized in the frames of program of the ERG Group, AlmaU and the Association of Friends of Tel Aviv University “Ecosystem of Student Entrepreneurship” was held at Karaganda Medical University.

Within hours, the students of the university developed business projects in the following areas: medicine, society, ecology, services, and agriculture. This year, 199 students in 43 teams took part in the championship.

“Since 2017 Karaganda Medical University has been actively implementing the project. Our university is the only medical university that has become a partner of the project and the only university in the Karaganda region that remains in the project. First time in 3 years  so many students participate in the project.  This demonstrates the interest of young people in the development of entrepreneurship and the need to create conditions for this” said B.Rysbekova.

Anar Turmukhambetova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Science said that today the university has done a lot of work to introduce entrepreneurial education and forming entrepreneurship among students.

The team of professional mentors composed of: Director of “Pro Business” LLP business coach Marina Schiller, director of “Z & Co” LLP business coach Azamat Chalgimbayev, director of the coffee shop chain Konstantin Gromov, chairman of the Council of Business Women of the Karaganda region Zhanargul Kulmagambetova helped participants to develop the projects. Employees of the Karaganda Medical University who has the necessary training: Bakhyt Rysbekova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Socio-Political Disciplines; Gulimzhan Tuleuova, Assistant to the Emergency Medical Care Department; Rymgul Rakymgali, Deputy Dean of the School of Dentistry; Antonina Nikolaeva, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Clinical Immunology, Allergology and Microbiology and Specialist of the School of Medicine Raushan Begimbetova also became mentors .

Each team presented one project to the jury consisting of: Eurasian Group speech analyst Gulmira Matkhalikova, Chairman of the Board of «Нәтиже» Yerlan Ashim, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the “Karaganda Medical University” Vilen Molotov-Luchansky, Project Manager of the Center for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Innovations of AlmaU Daniyar Beksultan. According to the results of the presentation, the winners of the championship became “Creative MUK” teams (Alexander Volf, Kenzhegul Smaylova, Nazira Ayatkhan, Dos Asanbayev, Ayim Malikova - School of Public Health and Pharmacy), “The Staff of Young Businessmen” (Madina Imanbayeva, Kainar Yerkіnbek, Yerkin Miras, Aigerіm Balkıbay - School of Public Health and Pharmacy) and a member of the “Love yourself” team Anna Rybalkina.

The winners of the championship got the right to get training in the “Big Ideas Camp” summer business camp.

The Youth Affairs Department
