Department of medical psychology and communication skills celebrated Nauryz 2019 in an unusual way
27 March 2019
Department of Medical Psychology and Communication Skills during the celebration of Nauryz, as always, threw
a celebratory feast. But this year has brought original notes to the
celebration of Spring and renewal. Combining traditions and innovations according
to the motto of the University, the staff came up with an unusual form of
presentation of national women's skills, having arranged an exam for kalyndyk
(bride) in the form of a General structured clinical exam. Three employees of
the Department had to perform skills at 4 stations – to roll out the dough
for shelpeks, to cook Nauryz-kozhe from the presented ingredients, hold a tea
ceremony for guests (examiners) and sing a song in the Kazakh language.

The
stations were prepared in accordance with all the requirements of the OSCE -
with checklists, examiners who gave grades for the correctness of performance.
The examiners laughed a little over ridiculous set of products for Nauryz-kozhe,
for some reason including cucumber and radish, but got a huge pleasure from tea
and dastarkhan, prepared by skilful employees of the Department, listened to the greeting and
congratulations of Kydyr-Ata (associate Professor of the Department of Ogarkov V. F.).

While counting points, the
examiners were very strict, but at the end all brides have passed the threshold and
obtained the kalyndyk’s certificate of conformity. The examiners said that our
dastarkhan was homelike, cozy and tasty and together with the Department kindly
appreciated such an unusual idea of celebrating Nauryz.
