The KSMU activists of the healthy lifestyle sector of the school of public health and pharmacy organized a special lecture entitled “Prevention and risk factors for cancer” dedicated to the World Cancer Day in the Secondary School No. 52 named after Academician E.A. Buketov. The main goal of the lecture was to tell the students of 10-11 grades about global problems related to cancer, treatment, factors of risks, increasing the level of knowledge in the field of early cancer prevention and the formation of a healthy lifestyle.

 A lecture on prevention and risk factors of cancer was  read by: students Smailova Kenzhegul  (3-002 gr OZ), Sakenova Dinara (2-003 gr OZ).

A video was shown about 10 factors of cancer. Students asked questions to which they received comprehensive replies. The material was followed by a quiz. The most active students were awarded with valuable prizes. Students were able to learn the material, deepen knowledge about the cancer and its types, their prevention and treatment. Brochures were also distributed to the audience.
