From September 252018to January 7 2019 “Biology” specialtymaster’s student Yerubay Aidana Suyunshibaykyzy was trained as part of academic mobility program at the University of Poitiers (Université de Poitiers), Poitiers, France.

  The University of Poitiers is one of the oldest universities in France, which is located within the city of Poitiers, and is one of the 40 best universities in France. Today, more than 23 thousand students study at this university and more than 1000 teachers work at the university. The university consists of 7 faculties, 2 schools and 6 institutes.

  The training took place at the Faculty of Fundamental and Applied Sciences, at the Biology Laboratory at the University of Poitiers, where studies are being conducted in the fields of automation, biology, cell biology, plant biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and environmental science.

In addition to passing specific subjects, she studied classical genomics (sequencing), functional genomics approaches, including new genome editing tools (CRISPRCas9), transcriptomics and regulation of gene expression, as well as their industrial and fundamental use, illustrated in examples from the plant world,improved French language and actively participated in the social life of the university.

These courseswere very useful and provided an opportunity to improve professional and communication skills, gain new knowledge and improvepractical skills.
