On December 27, the annual rector’s meeting of the rector and the student activists was held at the Karaganda State Medical University.

  This year the meeting was held in a format of a solemn ceremony of rewarding activists who have excelled in public work, culture and sport.

The solemn part of the meeting was opened by the rector of KSMU Raushan Sultanovna Dosmagambetova. In her welcoming speech, Raushan Sultanovna congratulated all those present on the upcoming New Year, wished them success in their studies and acquainted the participants with the concept of the development of the university in 2019. After that, the solemn of the meeting part continued with the award ceremony.

Akim of the Karaganda region awarded Vilen Borisovich Molotov-Luchansky with a certificate of merit for his active participation in the social and political life of the region and his personal labor and creative contribution to the construction of the new Kazakhstan society.

The best activists of the Samruk Student Republic, Student Support Services, the «Zhuldyz» youth health center, Initiative Students Club, Coordinating Council of Students, Local Committee of the Association of Medical Students of Kazakhstan "KazMSA", "VolTeKSMU" Volunteer Organization , «Намыс» and «Insight» debate clubs, «MED talks», "Ақжүніс" Women's Club, "Санылыұрпақ" the Students Club, "Enactus KSMU" team, Student Scientific Society, «Күлкітерапиясы» and «Клиникасмеха» teams of the “club cheerful and smart”, Voluntary student squad, Oriental Dance Folk Ensemble called «Қаракөз», "Golden step" dance theater, the club called «Конферансье», Theater club, Dombra orchestra, «Жыр Жауһар» authorial-poetic club, Fine Arts club, the choir, "Yes-team" contemporary dance group, members of the university sports club, participants and winners of sports competitions were awarded with the letter of appreciation signed by the rector.

The meeting continued with a small improvised concert of the creative teams of the university.

  At the end of the solemn part of the event, all those gathered were congratulated with the New Year by Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden.
