On December 7, 2018 at the school of nursing education a round table entitled “Latin graphics of: yesterday, today and tomorrow”, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstanwas held amond students of 1 and 2 courses of the «Medical care» and «Nursing» specialty.Tursynova Markhaba Akhmetkaliyeva, Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor of the Karaganda State University named after E.A Buketov, head of the center of Kazakh into Latin script translation; Zhandarbekova Lyazzat Omirzhanovna - Senior Lecturer of the Department of the Trinity of Languages, KSMU were invited.This event was organized by the Latin language teacher Omasheva Zhanar Magauyaevna, the teachers of the professional Kazakh language Orazova Bakyt Orazovna, Turysbekova Arailym Esengeldinovna, deputy dean on social work of the school of nursing education Ongarbayeva Ayman Igilikovna.

Markhaba Akhmetkalievna made a presentation on the transition to the Latin language and answered the students' questions. The round table discussed the problems associated with the transition to the Latin script.Students were asked questions about teaching Latin graphics to middle-aged and elderly people, about providing literature and textbooks in Latin, about the nuances of phonetic sound in the transition to Latin graphics.The dictation to check the Latin alphabet literacy among students was conducted. A 2-year student of the “Medical business” care specialty Abiljan Dinara recited her own poems.
