THE VISITING MASTER CLASS ON RELEVANT INFECTIOUS DISEASES IN THE KOSTANAY REGION.
In spite of the
epidemiological transition, which took place at the end of the twentieth
century in the morbidity structure of the world population in favor of chronic
infectious diseases, the problems of infectious disease have not lost their
relevance. Infectious diseases, including new ones, constitute a threat to the
development of mankind, as it is the cause of one third of the total annual
number of deaths in the world. Considering the high relevance of infectious
pathology, Karaganda State Medical University continues its activity in the
field of postgraduate education.
In order to fulfill the protocol order of the Republican Headquarters of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan chaired by V.A. Tsoi for the prevention of infectious diseases and at the invitation of the health department of the Kostanay region in the person of the coordinator of infectious diseases A.Z. Nurpeisova from November 19 to November 23, 2018, the visiting master-class entitled “Relevant issues of infectious pathology in clinical practice” was held for general practitioners, infectious disease specialists, anesthesiologists and resuscitators, as well as emergency doctors and paramedics.
Leading experts in infectious diseases of Karaganda State Medical University – the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of Rozalia Hasanovna Begaydarova and Dr. PhD, Associate Professor, Infectiologist of the Highest Category Yerzhan Seipolovich Zhunussov were involved in organizing and conducting the master class. The theme of the master class responded to the modern realities of infectious pathology and the interests of practitioners in healthcare. The topics of emergency states of infectious diseases of children and adults were revealed, the problems of acute respiratory viral infections, meningococcal infections, acute intestinal infections, quarantine infections, viral hepatitis, including fulminate forms, as well as the features of modern diagnostics and treatment according to the requirements of clinical protocols of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, of national and international guides were considered.
The master class was conducted online with the active involvement of students using active teaching methods (RBL, CBL, TBL). In addition, pre and post - tests were conducted, clinical cases were analyzed, and examples from the clinical experience of students which caused difficulties in diagnosis and management tactics in daily activities were analyzed in details. In addition the was, a questionnaire survey, during which the listeners' expectations from the master class and wishes were stated.,
The topics of the master class aroused great interest among practitioners in health care, the problems of modern diagnostics and treatment using the latest advances in medical science were of particular interest.
