On December 12 and 13, 2018, in Karaganda State Medical University, a dispute presentation for students of the 1st and 2nd courses of the "Medicine" specialty on the topic "Attention: what you need to know about tuberculosis!" was held.

This event was organized jointly with the School of Medicine and the Department of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases. The participants werethe assistants of the department of epidemiology and infectious diseases Z.Zhaksybekova, L.Arapova. and the students of 1, 2 courses.

The event was held in the format of a film screening about tuberculosis, causes of disease, prevention, historical facts. Then the participants shared information about scientific discoveries in medicine, their benefits, the causes and effects of infection, risk factors for such a dangerous disease as tuberculosis, as far as it is curable in modern conditions.

This event is timed to the 25th anniversary of the World Tuberculosis Day established by the World Health Organization and is aimed at prompt awareness of junior students about a dangerous disease, symptoms, preventive measures.

In conclusion, the students thanked the teachers, representatives of the School of Medicine for such a “live” discussion and for the useful information.
