Participation in a training on the development of Internationalization strategy in the context of "The capacity building in higher education ""WELCOME – -" Opening up to new University communities» Erasmus + Action 2project
From 19th to 23rd of November 2018 the Head of the international cooperation Department S. B. Kassymova, the Deputy Dean for academic work, science and internationalization of the school of public health and pharmacy A. M. Kamarova, the specialist of international cooperation Department B. S. Erimbetova, participated in the training on developing a strategic plan for internationalization in education in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain) within the framework of "The capacity building in higher education", "WELCOME" – "Opening up the University community." Erasmus+ Action 2 poject
The training was attended by the representatives of universities of Kazakhstan and China:
- Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain).
- Karaganda state medical University (Kazakhstan).
- Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and international trade (Kazakhstan).
- Narxoz University (Kazakhstan).
- Eurasian national University named after L. N. Gumilev (Kazakhstan).
- Beihang University (China).
- Tongji University (China).
During the training period, the Lego Serious Play method was used to build a strategy for the development of internationalization in education. Every day during the week, all universities developed a General model of the University in the context of Internationalization. By the end of the training, the participants presented a General model of Internationalization and the main activities using the Lego Serious Play method. The training also included a project meeting with the consortium management.
The trainer of this training was the academic Director of UNESCO and the head of the Department of management (management) of higher education of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia Vincent Fernández Alarcón, associate Professor of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia Eva Gallardo.
It should be reminded that the "WELCOME" project is implemented in Karaganda state medical University since October 2016. The main goal of the project is to strengthen the international direction and internationalization in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and China.
