From the 4^th of November to the 4^th of December 2018 associate professor of the Department of Informatics and Biostatistics K.E. Mkhitaryan, Senior Researcher of the Biology DepartmentA.A. Kelmyalene, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Microbiology A.B. Nikolayeva, the teachers of the Department of Public Health O.K. Zhamantayev and Zh.E. Bolatova were sent to internship at the University of Lund, Sweden, within the framework of the academic mobilityprogram.

Lund University has a long history and is one of the oldest universities in Sweden. The university has about 25,000 students from Sweden and from different parts of the world. During the internship, the staff of KSMU had the opportunity to visit and get acquainted with the work of colleagues in the biomedical center of the University BMC, LTH, CMES. The employees of KSMU received information about the pecularities and organization of the educational process for bachelors in a higher medical school, searching and analyzing material for writing scientific publications. Analyzing the information data accumulated as a result of the exchange of experience between the faculty of two universities, we would like to note the high motivational potential in creating an epidemiology textbook in English for bachelors.

We would like to express a special gratitude to the administration of the KSMU and Postdoctoral Researcher from the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Lund University (Sweden) Kamshat Tussupova, PhD, for the opportunity to participate in this program, which allows not only to receive interesting information and share experience, but also offers the ability to create new joint programs and projects.
