On November 29, 2018 on the basis of the Regional allergological center the staff of the Department of clinical immunology, Allergology and Microbiology, residents of the first and the second year of study of the «Allergology and immunology, including paediatric» speciality together with the students of the 2nd year of «General medicine» of speciality 2-015, 2-017, 2-018, 2-020 groups held a seminar called «Know your HIV status!» dedicated to HIV prevention.

At the seminar, the speaker was the epidemiologist of the Karaganda regional center for prevention and control of AIDS Kudryakova I. N., who voiced the epidemiological situation in the region, touched upon the theme of the world AIDS day and the history of its occurrence. The specialist paid special attention to the measures of prevention of occupational HIV infection of medical workers.

The participants of the seminar consolidated the material with the subsequent quiz, which was organized by students of 2-015 group. In the quiz, participants answered various theoretical questions that covered the material of the seminar: modern views of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of patients with this disease, raised questions about discrimination against people with HIV infection, which has not lost its relevance to this day.

At the end of the quiz the winners were awarded with diplomas and gifts from the Department of clinical immunology, Allergology and Microbiology.
