28 November 2018

As part of the rotation of residents in medical organizations of various levels of medical care, residents of the 1st year of study Sarsenbayeva Z.N. and Zhandarbek P.M. carried out practical activities from 5.11. till 16.11.2018 in RSE on REM “Central Regional Hospital of Shieli with an outpatient polyclinic service” of the Kyzylorda region.

Residents from the first days took an active part in the clinical activities of the infectious disease ward, they supervised patients, carried out an outpatient admission in conditions of infectious diseases cabinet, and also worked with the primary documentation of patients in the KМIS system.

It should be noted that the KМIS system in medical organizations of the district level of the Kyzylorda region was introduced recently and the residents of KSMU in this part of the activity were able to provide substantial practical assistance.

While working in the hospital residents participated in the daily morning conferences, in the rounds of the head of the department and in supervision of patients. At the outpatient admission they screened intrauterine infections, worked with archival histories of endemic diseases of the region, namely, tick-borne rickettsiosis. Also residents worked with the people to prevent seasonal infectious diseases.

As a result of this rotation, it is necessary to note the friendly attitude of the staff of the Central Regional Hospital, who in turn expressed gratitude for the involvement of young specialists to work in village regions.

Residents of the 1st year of study Sarsenbayeva Z.N. and Zhandarbek P.M. are grateful to the leadership of KSMU and the Department of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases (the "Infectious Diseases" discipline) for this opportunity.
