Final meeting of TAME consortium in London

The International Conference “We are our Choice 2018" - Learning To Make Good Decisions organized by St. George's University of London and final face-to-face meeting of the TAME project - Training Against Medical Error within the program Erasmus +  with financial support of the European Union, was took place from October 24 to October 26, 2018 in London.

The conference devoted to educational projects with use of scenarios and virtual patients united the British and international participants involved to WAVES network – Widening Access to Virtual Educational Scenarios. This event provided an opportunity for academic and business participants to get involved in a community of  all stakeholders  in learning and teaching based on virtual scenarios. The conference was attended by the Rector of the Karaganda State Medical University, Doctor of medical sciences, Professor R.S. Dosmagambetova, Deputy in Charge for Strategic Development, Science and International Cooperation, Ph.D. A.A. Turmuhambetova, representatives of the KSMU working group - members of the TAME project - head of the department of clinical pharmacology and evidence-based medicine, Ph.D., Associate Professor Sh.S. Kaliyeva, Director of the Center for the Transfer of Innovative Technology and Professional Development, PhD, Associate Professor A.Z. Muratova, International projects financier N. Tsai. The participants of the conference presented the results of the implementation of the TAME project at the KSMU, the interactive discussion discussed strategies for further sustainable development of the project, interaction and partnership in the WAVES network.

On October 25-26, 2018, the final meeting of the TAME project participants was held with the participation of working groups from 10 universities in 7 countries: St. George's University, United Kingdom; Karolinska Institute, Sweden; University of Mazarik, Czech Republic, University of Aristotle, Greece; Zaporozhye State Medical University, Bukovinian State Medical University, Ukraine; Medical University of Astana, Karaganda State Medical University, Kazakhstan; Hanoi Medical University, Hugh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam.

During the meeting, all TAME partners of the consortium reported on the results of the project implementation at partner universities, discussed the possibility of further development and implementation of new cases in the educational program, quality control, issues of dissemination and sustainable development of the results of implementation, training new tutors, development of further cooperation.
